Long Term Care Activities   Meeting new people is one of the great pleasures that awaits you at Copernicus Lodge. Wherever your interests lie, a full variety of activities is available to bring you together with others who will share them with you. Daily social, spiritual, recreational and physical activities are provided in the Polish and English language by our dedicated Activation Therapists, Pastoral Staff, Volunteers and Community Organizations. These include Special Events, Cultural celebrations, Residents' monthly Birthday parties, concerts, excursions, crafts and games, light exercises and walks. To further improve resident quality of life, we have staff specialized in : Comfort Care Creative Arts Music Therapy Restorative Care Horticulture Therapy Snoozelin Therapy Nurturing Life Program: At Copernicus Lodge we are committed to providing animals, plants and children's daily involvement in our home for the purpose of making the environment more humanized, diverse, stimulating and more "home-like" for our residents. Our "Nurturing Life Program" encompassess all these principles and is highly supported by the Ministry of Health, administered through the Programs and Services Department and is actively encouraged by all employees. Our resident cats, hamsters and birds are very therapeutic and have proven to be of a great benefit to our residents.
