Environmental Services is responsible for the overall functioning and the day to day operation of the Housekeeping, Laundry, Maintenance, Security and Exterior Grounds functions.
The Environmental Services department ensures that all functions of the Lodge are provided according to the established policies and procedures of the home while |
complying with relevant Building Codes, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ministry of Health Standards and other legislative requirements. The cleaning, laundry and maintaining of resident rooms is the responsibility of professional, qualified staff.
Each resident is supplied with his/her own laundry basket. Personal clothing is labeled, machine washed and dried. Bed linen, wash cloths, towels and bibs are supplied and laundered regularly. Each resident's family has the option to do the resident’s laundry, if they prefer. Laundry facilities are located on each floor equipped with detergent and fabric softener at no cost to the resident. Drycleaning and alterations/repairs are available through an outside provider at a cost to the resident. |
