Activities

Support Staff with a ResidentMeeting new people is one of the great pleasures that await you at Copernicus Lodge. Wherever your interests lie, there is a full variety of activities to bring you together with others who will share them with you. Daily social, spiritual, recreational and physical activities are provided in both Polish and English by our dedicated Activation Therapists, Pastoral Team, Volunteers and Community Organizations. These include exercise activities, crafts, games, monthly birthday parties, bus trips, special events, concerts, cultural celebrations, and much more.

Nurturing Life Program:

At Copernicus Lodge we are committed to providing animals, plants and children’s involvement in our home for the purpose of making the environment more humanized, diverse, stimulating and more “home-like” for our residents. Our “Nurturing Life Program” encompasses all these principles. Our resident cats (Mitz and Nicholas) and birds on each floor are Resident and Staff - Arts and Craftsvery therapeutic and have proven to be of a great benefit to our residents. Families and friends are welcome to bring family pets when visiting a loved one at Copernicus but prior to your visit please ensure you provide the Programs & Services Department a copy of your pet’s vaccination certificate.
