From time to time, residents needs change and they may require the use of equipment such as a walker, wheelchair or geri-chair. If the need is short term, then Copernicus Lodge provides this equipment at no cost to the resident. However, if assessed that the item will be required on a permanent or long term basis (more than 4 weeks), then the resident will be required to purchase their own equipment.  If eligible, financial assistance may be available to purchase these items.

Escort An escort is made available through the use of an external agency to take residents to special clinics or appointments when family is not able. The resident is responsible to pay the fee associated with this service. Clothing Throughout the year, private companies specializing in seniors clothing come to the Lodge to display and sell their clothing. During these visits residents/family members have the opportunity to purchase new clothing items and shoewear.
