Copernicus Lodge is a 228 bed long-term care home serving the culturally specific needs of our Polish community and the broader Roncesvalles neighbourhood. Types of Accommodation

Copernicus Lodge offers only basic and private rooms.

Medical and Nursing care, Programs & Services, all meals and snacks, housekeeping, incontinence products, linen and personal laundry services are included in the  amounts for Long Term Care.

*Monthly fee for 2025. Rates for Long Term Care and Short Stay Respite Care are subject to change.

Basic Accommodation

$2,036.40  / month

Persons applying for Basic Accommodation must submit a current or prior year Notice of Assessment from Canada Revenue Agency to determine eligibility for a rate reduction.

Private Accommodation

$2,909.36 / month

The Ministry of Health does not provide subsidies in our Private Rooms.

We offer tours every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:30 PM.

Short Stay Respite Care

Short Stay Respite Care is the placement of a senior requiring care for the purpose of providing relief to the Caregiver. Persons in the Short Term Care Program must return to their previous residence at the end of their stay.

$43.34*/ per day

Length of Stay
Maximum 90 days during a calendar year and a maximum of 60 days at a time.

*Full payment for the complete stay is payable on the first day of admission; subsidies are not available in the Short Stay program. Application is made through the Ontario Health atHome.
