Family Council
Family Council gives family members, friends, and Power of Attorneys a voice in decisions affecting residents’ rights, living conditions, and care at Copernicus Lodge. It offers support, a space to share experiences, and a platform to address common concerns while recommending improvements to enhance care and services.
Monthly Town Halls
Join our Monthly Resident & Family Town Halls to stay informed, ask questions, and share feedback with management and staff. Your voice helps make Copernicus Lodge a true home for your loved one. Attend in person or online—we encourage all to participate!
How to Join a Meeting
Join us in person or online via Microsoft Teams. Meetings are held on a Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM. As a family member, or caregiver, of a new LTC resident you will be added to our mailing list to receive meeting notifications and access to the online meeting link.
Meeting Minutes
Council Meeting Minutes are shared electronically, on the Resident Home Area boards and the Resident and Family Board in the LINK of the home. Additional boards by the main floor elevators provide updates on meetings and events. Families are also kept informed through the Family Council board.
Residents’ Council
The Residents’ Council empowers Copernicus Lodge residents by giving them a voice in shaping their home. The council provides a platform to participate in decisions about activities, dining, care, and living arrangements. It also serves as a confidential forum for expressing concerns or resolving disputes, with members advocating for residents’ rights and overall well-being.
The Council plays a key role in helping our care teams evaluate and improve services to better meet residents’ needs.
