Roncesvalles Polish Festival
The Copernicus Lodge Food & Beer Garden is a beloved staple of the annual Roncesvalles Polish Festival, offering festivalgoers an authentic taste of Polish cuisine. Our tent serves up delicious traditional dishes like pierogi, kielbasa, and bigos (hunter’s stew), alongside refreshing beverages, including Polish beer. With friendly volunteers and the warm, welcoming spirit of Polish hospitality, the tent is a must-visit spot for those looking to savour the rich flavours of Poland while supporting a cherished community institution.
Calling all Volunteers for 2026
Volunteers are always needed to help out at Copernicus Lodge food & beer garden. As you can all appreciate, the more volunteers we have, the easier it is to fill in any gaps that may arise due to last minute cancellations from our volunteers. The more the merrier as we all help out to make as much money as we can to support our residents of Copernicus Lodge.
As a volunteer, you can expect to help for just 6 hours of your time on either the Saturday or Sunday.
You can pick and choose where and what time you want to help with such activities as:
- Working at the cash, selling the delicious Polish delicacies we will be offering.
- BBQ sausages
- Cooking perogies
- Working at the bar where it is fairly easy with only beer, vodka shots and soft drinks to be served (Smart Serve required)
- Serving our thirsty and hungry guests who will be dropping by our food & garden booth
- Some food preparation (cutting buns, preparing pickles on a stick)
- Pick-up, delivery, set-up of booth
